Mary Beth is a member of the Tax Group and specializes in tax compliance and consulting issues related to individuals, families, companies, trusts, and exempt entities.
Mary Beth is a Tax Principal in SRG’s Tax practice. She has more than ten years of experience in private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund clients at Big 4/global investment bank firms, and over 20 years of general tax compliance and consulting experience. Mary Beth received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees with honors from Florida Atlantic University, specializing in taxation.
Mary Beth has managed large private equity engagements for Big 4 firms and investment bank clients with multiple federal, SALT, and technical tax analysis focused on partnership, corporate, and foreign reporting and withholding issues.
She has also served a wide variety of high net worth individuals and their businesses, many in real estate, professional and other services, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail businesses. She has advised clients on the entire cycle of their business, personal, and exempt foundations, including the tax effect of entity choice, check the box elections, transactions, mergers, acquisitions, liquidations , wealth, retirement, gift, and trust planning.
Mary Beth has designed and taught advanced taxation classes at a regional and national level for Big 4 and Big 8 accounting firms, and published technical articles internally there as well. She has been a member of and contributor to multiple national task force committees involved with quality/risk management, tax and e-file process, and development of training programs.
